How did the Chicken House Co-op get started?
The thrift store, located in an old chicken house, was started in 2001 by the ladies who held a yard sale at the church to raise funds for a new fellowship hall. It was such a success it was decided to have another sale the next weekend too. It was during this time that the ladies saw that the needs in the community were great and felt God wanted them to start a ministry. And this launched the thrift store idea that allows us to meet the needs of people in the community and beyond. The funds raised are given to various missions around the local community and around the world.
